The project aims to be a center for and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) cases in cooperation with UNFPA. Accordingly, three Women and Girls’ Safe Spaces (WGSS) are established in Istanbul and provide Sexual & Reproductive Health services at primary health care level together with Family Planning and Safe Motherhood services. Besides, WGSS offer Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) trainings to raise awareness. These services are carried out by social workers, nurse midwives and doctors.
The main objectives of the project;
– To increase availability and access to comprehensive SRH/FP and SGBV services at primary health care level including FP and STI/HIV provided by considering gender equality and comply with human rights to meet the quality of care.
– To reach most vulnerable and marginalized women/girls, adolescents and youths among refugees and provide services related to health and women empowerment.
