SUSPENDED LIVES & PERCEIVED LIVES PROJECT

Within the scope of the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (DİHAA) programme, the Project funded by the EU was carried out with the mutual cooperation of Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants (SGDD-ASAM) and Research, Documentation and Training for Social Work (SEBAV). The activities conducted within are as follows:

  • Within the scope of the EU Twinning Project which is being run by the Ministry of Interior (TR07-JH-03), a field work was conducted in Ankara, İzmir, Van, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Kırklareli and Kayseri cities -where then repatriation centers and shelters will be constructed- aiming to understand the perceptions and information levels of citizens, state institutions and organizations,
  • Training seminars were conducted for municipal and governmental authorities, academics, public institutions, local service providers and NGOs operating in human rights issues in these cities,
  • A 30-minutes of documentary film was shooted including interviews with the stakeholders. Within the scope of the Project, a field work was carried out on 3500 people in the mentioned cities in order to detect the perceptions. The Project has the characteristic of being the first comprehensive study in perception determinaton.
