Emergency Response Program

Within the scope of the program conducted between November 2014 and December 2016 and carried out in 13 provinces in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, non-food items and e-voucher cards were distributed to nearly 100,000 refugees.

The teams established in Adana and Şanlıurfa distributed thousands of items to meet the basic needs of refugees who fled into Turkey from Syria (mainly Kobane and Tel Abyad) due to raising conflicts and of urban refugees who are living outside the camps.

In order to reach the most vulnerable refugees, those who have special needs were identified through house visits and interviews by using the vulnerability assessment form prepared jointly with UNHCR.

Following the identification of the refugees having special needs, many items, such as blankets, kitchen sets, hygiene kits, winter clothes and boots, and within the scope of winterization support, one-time e-voucher card distributions were made to meet the basic needs of these persons.
